Terms for using Borrowology
These terms cover your use of Borrowology. They were last updated on October 12, 2026.
The site is a reference
Borrowology explains credit scores, debt payments, and common loan terms for a global audience. Some guides explain United States rules and say so. Laws differ by country. It is educational. It is not financial advice, legal advice, credit repair, or an offer of credit. It is not a lender, a credit bureau, or a law firm.
Your own contract, statement, and credit report control your situation. Check figures and mailing addresses before you rely on them. Laws and bureau addresses change.
The tools stay on your device
The payoff calculator and the dispute-letter tool run in your browser. Borrowology does not receive the balances, rates, or letter text you enter. If you turn on “Remember these numbers on this device,” that copy stays in this browser until you clear it.
Results are estimates from the numbers you type. They are not a quote from a lender and they do not change a credit score. A dispute letter asks a bureau to recheck an item. It does not force deletion of information that is accurate, and it does not promise a higher score.
No account
You do not create an account. We do not sell the numbers you type into the tools, because those numbers are not sent to us.
Using the pages
You may read the guides and use the tools for yourself. You may not copy the site and present it as your own product, or use it to mislead someone about a loan, a score, or a deletion.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is. We work to keep the explanations accurate and to name the sources, and we can still be wrong. BufferSync is not liable for decisions you make from these pages.
Changes
We may update these terms or the site. The date at the top of this page changes when the terms change. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the updated terms.
